About Us

Tim Lewis has spent his entire working career in construction and architecture, with each step along the way preparing him to realize his dream of starting Lewis Construction and Development Inc. At 16 years old, Tim landed his first job working on a framing crew in Western Washington, where he grew up. He continued to work for the framing contractor to pay his way through college at the University of Washington, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction.
In the early 1990s, he started work for Lydig Construction Inc., the largest commercial contractor in Spokane and one of the five largest in all of Washington State. He worked as a project manager for his first seven years with the company and as a senior project manager for the following six years. During his tenure with the company, he led construction of projects in excess of $60 million including a large local project at the new University High School in the Spokane Valley.
Tim left Lydig to create a family owned business with a focus customer service and long term client relationships. He started Lewis Construction & Development in early 2007 and has built it into a full-service residential and commercial construction and development company. He and his wife, Julie, live on the Five Mile Prairie with their three boys: Luke, Jayden, and Tysen.
